Current Work in Progress
Chelsea Usher is a California native that has been living in Hartford, Connecticut since 2012. A teacher by day, writer by night, Chelsea likes to write short fiction, and is currently working on the Herculean task of her first novel, The Gem Guardian, a fantasy novel about a girl whose biggest worry used to be her pre-calc final before she realized she accidentally becomes the next person to bring peace to the universe.
When she isn’t writing, she’s either teaching, or being taught. She teaches full time at a Hartford Public School as an English teacher, and an adjunct professor at Goodwin University. Most recently, she graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Masters in English & Creative Writing. She also graduated from Quinnipiac University with a Masters in Teacher Leadership and from University of California, Riverside with a Bachelors in English and Classical Studies.
Outside of writing, Chelsea loves coffee (mocha fraps, mocha iced lattes, and iced caramel macchiatos) and traveling the world to learn about new cultures.
Just like many millennials, she’s unabashedly addicted to social media and can be found on twitter and instagram.
